Submissions

We welcome submissions all year round, so whether you have a finished manuscript or a work in progress, please get in touch.
New book proposals are considered during a monthly ‘Submissions Meeting’ in which the senior members of our team discuss and assess the standard of the submission. Please allow 2–4 weeks from the date of submission for a response.

As you may be aware, poetry publishing is a small and often financially challenging sector of the industry. As many writers will know, it remains one of the most challenging areas of the publishing world financially. To help make it viable, we ask authors to commit to purchasing a small number of copies of their book at a discounted rate. Authors usually require copies for poetry events in any case, so this arrangement serves a dual purpose—supporting the publishing process while ensuring you have books on hand for readings, launches, and personal distribution.

Purchasing your author copies in advance helps us recover some of the upfront production costs, including editorial and design work. After publication, we continue to invest in marketing and distribution efforts, as we do with all our titles.
